‘Kerryn Wise’s recently performed work CLIP, at the Savoy Cinema in Nottingham, received an incredibly positive response from the sell-out audience.  The work combines live and filmic elements and is an imaginative way for cinemas to attract audiences who are both interested in their main-steam programme, as well as a more alternative experience in a cinema space.’  Nicky Molloy, Dance 4

‘Having Kerryn Wise’s performance in our cinema was something completely different from our normal cinema programme. This definitely brought a new audience to visit the venue and the event received a lot of local press coverage and a sell-out audience. It really showed our cinema space in a new and interesting way. We are now applying for a business grant to buy equipment to host more of these types of events’. Mark Whelberry, Savoy Cinema, Nottingham

Clip was originally made and performed at the Savoy Cinema, Notttingham supported by Arts Council England and The Bonington Gallery.

Venue
CLIP would ideally be performed in a cinema, but could also be presented in a theatre/studio space, the piece would be reworked depending on the size of space. CLIP could be performed as the ideal opening to a dance film festival.

Audience
CLIP would appeal to a mixed and varied audience, as it combines dance, performance, video and electronic sound.

Education
Workshops and talks focus on the processes of creating interdisciplinary ‘live art’ work, exploring dance, video and choreography.

Available to tour 2006/7
