British born Carly Annable trained at the Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds where she received a BA Honours degree in Dance. Following this she worked for a number of years with Dance 4, National Dance Agency as a Dance Development Worker. Working as part of Education and Community team she has initiated and developed many challenging, creative and innovative dance and mixed media projects including film and visual arts, working with a wide range of artists and communities.
In addition to all her work with Dance 4 she has lectured at Colleges, contributed to research in Choreography, Pedagogy and Technology, led by Dr Jacqueline Smith –Autard. Carly has choreographed her own work experimenting with artistic ideas and processes, this includes dance pieces, Spaceometry and solo 4points. She has collaborated on interdisciplinary projects as a performer, this includes Clip for Sensitive Skin - a interdisciplinary arts festival 2005, and Tom Morris and Guy Dartnell’s Oogly Boogly. Carly is a dance artist whose works spans the realms of performance, choreography, education and community dance.
