Over the last seven years I have been making contemporary dance/live art performance. I began by making solo work but the last three years has seen me collaborate with other dancers, theatre practitioners and visual artists to develop both my dance practice and choreographic skills.

I recently choreographed and performed ‘Zippel Faggotist’ a duet accompanied by a live band, The Hellset Orchestra, in Nottingham and Leicester supported by Dance 4. I am currently developing a piece of bungee-assisted dance with video artist Barret Hodgson.

Through my recent participation in the ‘Articulating Dance’ project at Northampton University, I have developed a deeper understanding of my own making processes through learning from artists further along their career, such as the renown dancer Gill Clark.

In 2003 I was awarded a three year Forward Thinking Artist Fellowship, which has allowed me the freedom to experiment with new ideas and challenges with support from Future Factory and Bonington Gallery, which is housed within Nottingham Trent University. During my fellowship I created five new works and commissions.

I am currently Head of Dance at Highfields School, Matlock and I regularly teach dance across the region working with Creative Partnerships Nottingham, New College Nottingham and the Bonington Gallery.
